About

Sacred Reich is an American thrash metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, active since 1985. Alongside Testament, Destruction and Death Angel, they are credited with driving the second wave of thrash metal in the late 1980s, with politically charged albums like Ignorance (1987) and The American Way (1990) - the latter reaching No. 153 on the Billboard 200. After disbanding in 2000 and reforming in 2006, the band released their comeback album Awakening in 2019 via Metal Blade Records, and their sixth studio album Into the Abyss is expected in spring 2026.
