Rick Astley (born 6 February 1966 in Newton-le-Willows, Lancashire) is an English singer, songwriter and producer who shot to global fame in 1987 with "Never Gonna Give You Up" - a No. 1 hit in more than 25 countries and the UK's best-selling single of that year. After stepping away from the industry in the early 1990s, he made a full comeback in 2016 with the album 50, which topped the UK charts, and has since released further acclaimed records. His career gained a second wind through the "Rickrolling" internet meme, and he has now sold over 40 million records worldwide.
Rick Astley kicked off his 12-date 'The Reflection Tour' at Glasgow's OVO Hydro on 10 April 2026, with special guest Gabrielle.
Astley released the single "Raindrops" in April 2026, following the birthday single "Waiting on You" issued on 6 February 2026.
