Ron Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964, in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter widely regarded as a craftsman's craftsman - a three-time Juno Award winner whose melodic folk-pop has earned the admiration of Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, Elton John and Leonard Cohen. Since his self-titled debut in 1995, he has released eighteen studio albums, performed at Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, and had his songs covered by artists ranging from Emmylou Harris to Rod Stewart.
Sexsmith is scheduled to play five German dates in August 2026 (Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Schorndorf, Dortmund) as part of his Hangover Terrace Tour.
Sexsmith toured Australia and New Zealand in April 2026 for the first time in over a decade, in support of Hangover Terrace.
His eighteenth studio album Hangover Terrace was released on August 29, 2025 via Cooking Vinyl, produced by Martin Terefe at Eastcote Studios in London.
Hangover Terrace received universally positive reviews, with Classic Rock, Record Collector and Mojo each awarding it 80/100.
Sexsmith celebrated his 60th birthday with two special retrospective concerts - at Manchester's RNCM Theatre and the London Palladium - under the banner 'Sexsmith at 60'.
