Sixth June is a Berlin-based darkwave and post-new-wave duo formed in Belgrade in 2007 by visual artist Laslo Antal and actress Lidija Andonov. The pair relocated to Berlin in 2010 and have since released eight albums on labels including Mannequin Records, aufnahme+wiedergabe and Young & Cold Records. Their sound draws on 1980s dark culture - The Cure, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode - built around cold synthesizers, drum machines and Andonov's distinctively warm, melancholic voice. Live performances integrate original video projections and visual art, making the show as much a visual event as a musical one.
Sixth June released the five-track EP 'After the War' on May 30, 2025 via Sweet Sensation / Young & Cold Records.
The duo released their eighth studio album 'Stay!' on September 15, 2024 on Young & Cold Records.
Sixth June performed live in Barcelona at Antiga Fabrica Enmasa on December 8, 2024.
The debut album 'Everytime' (2010) received a vinyl repress by Young & Cold Records in 2026.
