About

The Kilkennys are a traditional Irish folk and ballad band from Kilkenny, Ireland, formed in 1998 by schoolmates Davey Cashin and Tommy Mackey at St Kieran's College - originally under the name Uisce Beatha before renaming in 2008. The five-piece group has built a loyal following across Europe and the US by combining dynamic arrangements of classic Irish ballads with original material, drawing comparisons to The Dubliners and The Clancy Brothers. They have shared stages with Shane MacGowan, Sharon Shannon and Finbar Furey, and appeared on RTÉ's Late Late Show.
