The Real McKenzies are a Celtic punk band from Vancouver, Canada, founded in 1992 by frontman Paul McKenzie - the only member who has been there from the start. They are widely credited as pioneers of Celtic punk in North America, blending bagpipes and traditional Scottish folk melodies with the speed and grit of punk rock. Over more than three decades the band has toured relentlessly, shared stages with Rancid, NOFX, Metallica and the late Shane MacGowan, and released a string of albums on Fat Wreck Chords and Stomp Records.
