Music of Ludovico Einaudi and Yann Tiersen on the 28th Floor

Yann Tiersen is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist from Brittany, born in Brest in 1970, whose work spans minimalist piano, electronics, post-rock and chamber music. He reached global audiences through his score for Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 2001 film Amélie - which earned him a César Award and a BAFTA nomination - though he had been releasing studio albums since 1995. Over the following decades he continued to evolve, moving from whimsical acoustic miniatures toward electronics-driven and politically charged work, most recently on his 2025 double album Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour.
Tiersen released his double album Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour via Mute Records on 4 April 2025.
In December 2024, Tiersen announced the album and shared two preview tracks, one from each of its two distinct parts.
Tiersen played shows in Prague and Warsaw and Kraków in February 2026 as part of his European tour supporting the new album.
Tickets for Tiersen's ongoing 2026 'Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour' tour went on sale, with dates running through October 2026.
