Three Turkish women from the first generation of migrants. They arrive in a foreign country that is nothing like they imagined. They don't want to stay long, yet they face the challenge of making peace with their new homeland. How difficult is it to integrate into another country? And what does that country do to help? "Die deutsche Ayşe" is a theatrical contribution to the ever-recurring debate about successful integration. In his play, author Tuğsal Moğul portrays three strong women whose life stories speak for themselves.

Tuğsal Moğul was born in 1969 in Neubeckum. In his play, which premiered at the Münster Theatre and was invited to the intercultural festival "Made in Germany" in Stuttgart in 2013, he assembles his own memories and interviews with migrants into a lively revue about the beginnings of migration in Germany.
