Arktos, a terrible snowman, seeks to cover the world in ice. The old dragon Tyrion wants to prepare his small son Tabaluga for his destined task - protecting the world. To do this, Tabaluga must find the True Fire, the only thing that can stop Arktos.

Tabaluga sets out on his journey with the support of a magician. He faces many dangers, such as the spider woman Tarantula, but also discovers beautiful things. He learns that the world, with all its good and evil, is worth saving. However, Arktos does not give up - from pure ice, he creates a beautiful girl named Lilli, whose only task is to distract Tabaluga from his quest. Tabaluga falls in love with Lilli, as Arktos planned, but through this he discovers the greatest power - love.
