International Guitar Night 2026

For fans of acoustic guitar music, the annual "International Guitar Night" concert series has long been a fixture in the calendar. Master guitarists from around the world, in a line-up that changes every year, regularly treat music lovers across Germany to outstanding concert evenings.

This year, International Guitar Night presents Dave Goodman (Canada), Jaco Liu (China) and Peter Finger (Germany).

Dave Goodman (Canada)
Dave Goodman is a true multi-talent: the Canadian-born musician is an exceptional guitarist, storyteller and entertainer all in one. The high-energy shows of this well-travelled singer-songwriter defy genre boundaries - he can move and captivate an audience equally with heartfelt ballads and driving, rocky songs.

His dazzling guitar playing combines world-class fingerpicking technique with timeless original compositions, and he wraps it all in a gift for telling personal stories with wit and warmth. That combination has made him a respected acoustic artist worldwide, and his concerts consistently deliver.

Jaco Liu (China)
Guitarist Jaco Liu is one of the most compelling young talents on the international fingerstyle scene. Born in Baiyin, China, he discovered his passion for fingerstyle guitar at just nine years old. With little sheet music available to him, he developed an exceptional ear early on and taught himself pieces by renowned guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee.

Liu's first breakthrough came in 2017, when he was just twelve: his cover of "Thunderstruck" went viral and racked up over 100 million views. Television appearances followed, along with victory at the prestigious Chinese guitar competition WAGF - making him the youngest winner in the competition's history.
