The string duo of Belgian violinist Lotte Remmen and French cellist Toby Kuhn was founded in 2016 in Slovenia. Both trained as classical musicians, but found their freedom in improvisation and genre-crossing. They place freshly interpreted classical works alongside Bulgarian-inspired compositions and arrangements of Macedonian, Armenian, French and Swedish folk music. Jazz, folk, funk and classical elements blend into a style that resists easy categorisation. What always comes through is their sheer enthusiasm and joy in playing together.
