Handmade Tour 2026
Here they come again! After a hugely successful tour launch last year, Oesch's die Dritten - long-established superstars of Swiss folk music - are heading back to Germany. They will perform their best-known songs alongside tracks from their current album "Händmade". Oesch's die Dritten stand for one thing above all: folk music is music from the heart!
One of the secrets behind this family from the Swiss Bernese Oberland is the multi-generational make-up of the group: siblings Melanie, Mike and Kevin Oesch share the stage with their parents Hansueli and Annemarie Oesch, playing folk music as if it were the most natural thing in the world. They are joined by accordionist Urs Meier.
The family tradition began with Hans Oesch's "Trio Oesch". His son Hansueli carried it on with his wife Annemarie and their three children. Since they were now performing in the third generation, they named themselves Oesch's die Dritten.
The success story started back in the 1990s. Their big breakthrough came in 2007 when they won the young talent competition on the TV show Musikantenstadl. Their CD from that year, "Jodel-Zauber", stayed in the Swiss charts for months and went double platinum. Since then, the now 27-year run of success has been unstoppable: over 2,000 concerts and appearances in 15 countries, 16 albums released in total - 7 certified gold, 2 platinum and one double platinum. Add to that four PRIX WALO awards.
Melanie Oesch, widely regarded as the world's finest yodeller, captivates audiences with her distinctive vocal style and commanding stage presence. Her talent even won over Helene Fischer, who invited her to reinterpret her biggest hit "Atemlos" together on her TV show.
