Rether's "Liebe" is tragic, comic, painful and contagious. This constantly evolving programme - always carrying the same title - breeds lasting dissatisfaction with easy answers and pushes audiences to think and act for themselves. For up to three and a half hours, the cabaret artist makes a passionate case for enlightenment and compassion, and against hypocrisy and complacent consumerism: change is possible - if we want it.

Rether connects the current with the forgotten, the near with the far - he questions, disputes, doubts. With unexpected comparisons he draws us into a shift of perspective: a different look at the world, at ourselves in the mirror, and straight into the eye of uncomfortable truths.
