Julie Sassoon Quartet

In 2015, British pianist and composer Julie Sassoon founded the "Julie Sassoon Quartet" with Lothar Ohlmeier (tenor saxophone/bass clarinet), Meinrad Kneer (bass) and Rudi Fischerlehner (drums). Their debut album "Fourtune", recorded at RBB Kulturradio Studios in Berlin, was chosen as a recommendation by Bavarian Radio. Since then, they have toured extensively and performed at jazz festivals and concert venues across Europe and the UK, with highlights including two sold-out performances at Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Their latest album "Voyages", released in December 2021, was recognized by the German Record Critics' Prize as one of the most outstanding contemporary jazz albums.
