Christmas at Sea

The Shanty-Chor Bünde - as it has done for many years - presents its concert of maritime Christmas songs. It's surprising how many festive songs tell stories of sailors at Christmastime. The programme includes original compositions such as "Klabautermann" and "Weihnachtsurlaub", alongside classic Christmas carols that the audience is invited to sing along to.

With its Sailorband and more than thirty singers, the Shanty-Chor Bünde ranks among the largest shanty choirs in North Rhine-Westphalia. Founded in 1967, it is also the oldest of its kind in NRW.
