Fairy tales came from the mouths of ordinary people, and Markus Weber has brought them back there - he has translated the Brothers Grimm tales into the Kurpfalz dialect. More than that, he has also rooted them geographically along the Bergstrasse. The Frog King plays out at Windeck Castle, Rapunzel at the Blauen Hut, Little Red Riding Hood in the Müllheimer Tal valley, Hansel and Gretel in the forests of Lützelsachsen, Rumpelstiltskin lives behind the rock door on the old Burgweg, Snow White's seven dwarfs are tucked away at the Bildstock in Oberflockenbach, the Wolf and his seven kids are at home in the Bennwälder forests above Nordstadt, Cinderella comes from a patchwork family in Sulzbach, and Sleeping Beauty's castle still stands high above Leutershausen. In this way, the boundaries between story and history blur in the most wonderful fashion.
