Lennart Allkemper was drawn to music from childhood. At 12, he won first prize in the soloist category at the state competition "Jugend Jazzt" in 2005, and eight years later took the "WDR Jazzpreis" with the North Rhine-Westphalia Youth Jazz Orchestra. He studied with Matthias Nadolny and Wolfgang Engstfeld, and during his studies was a regular member of BuJazzO, with whom he won the ECHO "Jazz" award in 2012. In 2016, he became the youngest recipient of his hometown Bottrop's cultural award. Throughout his still-young career, he has played alongside an impressive roster of renowned jazz musicians - from Ron Carter and Kurt Elling to Branford Marsalis and Till Brönner. Musically, he is not confined to jazz alone: in 2022, he toured with "Fantastische Vier" on their 30th anniversary stadium tour across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; he also appears on television, including on "TV Total" and "ZDF Magazin Royal".
