Stephan Zinner - The Devil, the Girl, the Blues and Me

Stephan Zinner has the blues. That doesn't mean he's down - quite the opposite.

Fuelled by the raw energy of the blues, he sets out on a journey to the roots of the genre. And those roots don't lie exclusively in the Mississippi Delta in the American South, as many assume - they also run through Trostberg in Upper Bavaria. There are no cotton fields there, of course, just cornfields; you won't meet the devil at the crossroads but at the local savings bank around the corner; instead of bourbon, people drink Rüscherl - but women still drive you to despair, work is hard, the rich are rich, the poor are poor, and only music can save you.

So Zinner picks up his guitar and, backed by a true force of nature named Peter Pichler, will howl the blues, preach the gospel and dance until the devil himself gets dizzy. Praise the Lord and rock on!
