"The Devil, the Girl, the Blues and Me"
Kaufbeuren premiere
Stephan Zinner has the blues. That doesn't mean he's down - quite the opposite. Fuelled by the raw energy of the genre, he sets out on a journey to the roots of the blues. And those roots don't lie exclusively in the Mississippi Delta in the American South, as many assume - they also run through Trostberg in Upper Bavaria. There are no cotton fields there, of course, just cornfields; the devil isn't waiting at the crossroads but at the local savings bank on the corner; instead of bourbon, people drink "Ruscherl" - but women still drive men to despair, work is hard, the rich are rich, the poor are poor, and only music can save you.
So Zinner picks up his guitar and, with the support of a true devil of a man named Peter Pichler, will howl the blues, preach the gospel, and dance until Satan himself gets dizzy. Praise the Lord and rock on!
Running time is approximately 2 x 45 minutes, with possible extension depending on the mood. Refreshments can be ordered during the interval.
