Saxophonist Lutz Funke brings decades of concert experience from various rock and big bands, skilfully weaving them into the Birdhouse sound through his inventive playing. The multi-instrumentalist deftly blends groovy passages and quiet ballads through his warm tone.

Pianist Carsten Nachtigall weaves his melodic, jazzy-bluesy sound into a harmonic tapestry for the duo, playing both acoustic and electric instruments. His versatile playing has already taken him on international concert tours to Canada and across Europe.
