Hengstmanns Comedy Nacht - at the Technikmuseum
Technikmuseum Magdeburg, Germany
Cabaret artists Sebastian and Tobias Hengstmann have now shared a stage for over 20 years. Along the way, performing across Germany, they have met a string of brilliant and interesting fellow comedians. Some made such an impression that the brothers decided: we have to introduce them to our Magdeburg audience. Their summer stage at the Magdeburg Technikmuseum is the perfect setting for exactly that.
While the 17th Sommertheater production "Max und Moritz in Magdeburg" is running at full steam, the Hengstmann brothers have used a free Tuesday to invite these standout colleagues. On 7 July from 20:00, "Hengstmanns Comedy Nacht" returns for the third time. Four fantastic comedy acts will take the stage that evening:
Thomas Buch
A construction-wagon dweller with a healthy Peter-Lustig distance - in other words, a left-green eco-crank cyclist with no ambitions toward left-green eco-crank cyclist tunnel vision, but with a tendency to actually understand how things connect. Professionally, he passes on knowledge, comprehension, and whatever else to children. And that tells you everything you need to know about Thomas Buch - and at the same time tells you absolutely nothing about him. Then he experiences things. Things that anyone else would walk right past, if they noticed them at all, become eccentricities and phantasms teeming with digressions, detours, and associations, which he - poured into texts - delivers on stage with a microphone in hand. That it turns out funny comes down to a natural instinct for punchlines and an irresistible urge to make people laugh. The rest? The rest is up to you!
Sara Karas
You can take the village girl to the big city, but you can't take the village out of the girl. Stand-up comedian Sara Karas took the plunge and moved out into the wide world - to Berlin.
