Their marriage has failed, yet Julia and Thomas have no desire for single life either. So they set out once again to find new partners. That this requires not just courage but also perseverance, the capacity to endure, and optimism becomes clear from the very first attempt: Carefully planned as a "safety net" for each other, Julia and Thomas decide to hold their dates in the same restaurant - with equally serious consequences for both potential partners and for the audience's funny bones. While Julia and her self-absorbed date never develop any chemistry, Thomas's companion bursts forth with her unfulfilled desire for children and her expertise on foods that boost potency. Subsequent attempts to navigate the maze of dating apps or the neighbour's matchmaking efforts fail because Julia and Thomas keep running into each other at the wrong moment, disrupting the smooth course of their arranged meetings. It turns out that it's not easy at all to part amicably and then remain friends - and at least together you're less alone.
