The Robber Hotzenplotz (6+)

Kasperl and Seppel give their grandmother a new coffee grinder for her birthday. When it grinds coffee, it plays her favourite song. Their joy is short-lived, though - the dreaded Robber Hotzenplotz steals the grinder in broad daylight. Kasperl and Seppel set out to catch the thief.

To outwit the robber, they swap hats and build a chest that looks as if it is full of gold. But Hotzenplotz sees through their plan and takes them both prisoner. Seppel, whom he mistakes for Kasperl because of his cap, he puts to work for himself. Kasperl, whom he thinks is Seppel, he sells for a bag of snuff to his friend, the great wizard Petrosilius Zwackelmann, as a servant.

There, Kasperl discovers the captive fairy Amaryllis, who must be freed before everything can be set right again. Otfried Preussler's beloved children's classic from 1962 comes to life as an adventurous fairy-tale show for kids and grown-ups alike.
