Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier, February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer and songwriter widely credited as the originator of shock rock - a genre that fused hard rock with horror-film theatrics, guillotines, and elaborate stage illusions. Over a career spanning six decades he has released more than 30 studio albums and sold over 50 million records worldwide, earning induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. He is also a co-founder of the celebrity supergroup Hollywood Vampires alongside Johnny Depp and Joe Perry.
