Armored Saint is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, active since 1982, built around vocalist John Bush and bassist Joey Vera as its two constant members. They rose as one of the leading acts of the L.A. metal scene, drawing on the New Wave of British Heavy Metal rather than the glam-rock that dominated the Sunset Strip, and their 1991 album Symbol of Salvation - recorded in the shadow of guitarist Dave Prichard's death from leukemia - remains their most celebrated record. After a hiatus during which Bush fronted Anthrax, the band reunited in 1999 and has kept recording and touring ever since, releasing their ninth studio album Emotion Factory Reset in May 2026.
