Saxon is a British heavy metal band formed in Barnsley, England, in the late 1970s. They are one of the key acts of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement, known for anthems such as "Wheels of Steel" and "747 (Strangers in the Night)". The band has released over twenty studio albums and continues to tour internationally.
