About

Assemblage 23 is the solo electronic project of Tom Shear, founded in 1988 after a Depeche Mode concert sparked his interest in industrial dance music. Working entirely on his own - writing, recording and producing - Shear has built one of the most consistent catalogues in EBM and futurepop, releasing ten studio albums on Metropolis Records. Tracks like "Disappoint" and "Binary" became fixtures on alternative club floors across Europe and North America.
