About

Decapitated is a Polish technical death metal band from Krosno, founded in 1996 by teenage brothers Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka and Witold "Vitek" Kiełtyka. Across eight studio albums - from the debut Winds of Creation (2000) through Nihility, Organic Hallucinosis and Cancer Culture (2022) - the band built a reputation as one of the most respected acts in extreme metal worldwide. After the death of drummer Vitek in a 2007 tour bus crash, Vogg rebuilt the lineup and has kept the band active ever since; in 2024 Finnish vocalist Eemeli Bodde joined as the new frontman.

    Decapitated announced a 30th Anniversary EU/UK tour spanning June-July 2026, with dates across Poland, Austria, Germany, the UK and several major festivals.

  • 2025-11

    Decapitated were confirmed for Poland's Mystic Festival 2026 (June 3-6, Gdańsk Shipyard), joining a bill that includes Megadeth and Behemoth.

  • 2024-11

    Decapitated completed a 23-date North American headlining tour (Feb-Mar 2025) performing the album Nihility in full, with new vocalist Eemeli Bodde fronting the band.

  • 2024-10

    Decapitated parted ways with vocalist Rafał "Rasta" Piotrowski after 14 years and announced Finnish singer Eemeli Bodde (ex-Mors Subita) as his permanent replacement.

  • 2022-05

    Decapitated released Cancer Culture, their eighth studio album, via Nuclear Blast, featuring guest appearances from members of Jinjer and Machine Head.
