Evanescence is an American rock band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, led by vocalist and pianist Amy Lee. Their 2003 debut album Fallen - a cinematic blend of hard rock, gothic metal and orchestral arrangements - sold over 17 million copies worldwide, won two Grammy Awards and remains one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century. In June 2026 the band released their sixth studio album, Sanctuary, and launched a world tour covering North America, Europe and beyond.
