Evidence (born Michael Taylor Perretta, December 10, 1976, Venice Beach, California) is an American rapper and producer, best known as one-third of the LA hip-hop group Dilated Peoples alongside Rakaa Iriscience and DJ Babu. Active since the early 1990s, he has built a parallel solo career on Rhymesayers Entertainment, releasing five solo albums and collaborating with producers such as The Alchemist - with whom he also records as the duo Step Brothers. His production credits include a Grammy nomination for co-producing Kanye West's The College Dropout.
Evidence released his fifth solo album, Unlearning Vol. 2, on August 15, 2025 via Rhymesayers Entertainment.
Evidence launched a European and UK tour in July 2025, with dates in Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Mannheim, Cologne, Hamburg, Manchester, and London.
Evidence produced the full album Los Angeles by rapper Blu, released July 12, 2024 on Bigger Picture Recordings.
Dilated Peoples performed at the Lake Live Festival in Switzerland on August 9, 2025, continuing their international touring activity.
