About
Hania Rani (born Hanna Raniszewska in 1990 in Gdańsk) is a Polish pianist, composer and singer who trained at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Her 2019 debut album Esja, released on Gondwana Records, brought her international recognition; subsequent records pushed further into electronics, jazz and vocal layering. In early 2026 she won Best Composer at the European Film Awards for her score to Joachim Trier's Oscar-winning film Sentimental Value.
