Howie B. (born Howard Simon Bernstein, 18 April 1963, Glasgow) is a Scottish DJ, producer and musician whose credits span some of the most influential records of the 1990s. He co-produced U2's 1997 album Pop alongside Flood, served as DJ on the accompanying PopMart world tour, and worked closely with Björk across several projects including her album Homogenic. His own solo output - from the trip-hop of Music for Babies (1996) to the experimental electronics of Snatch (1999) - sits at the crossroads of hip-hop, ambient and club music, and he founded the influential independent label Pussyfoot Records in 1994.
Howie B. spoke publicly about his ongoing collaboration with Palestinian artist Bashar Murad, with whom he has been recording an album of new songs in Paris.
The documentary Kiss the Future, for which Howie B. composed the score, premiered on Paramount+ in the US and Canada on 7 May 2024.
