Joshua Redman is an American jazz saxophonist born in 1969 in Berkeley, California. Son of the saxophonist Dewey Redman, he studied at Harvard before turning fully to music - and quickly became one of the most prominent voices in contemporary jazz. He leads his own quartet and has collaborated with artists such as Brad Mehldau and Pat Metheny.
