Panzerballett is a German jazz-metal quintet led by guitarist and composer Jan Zehrfeld. The band built a cult following in progressive, math, and jazz-fusion circles through their original compositions and their so-called "Verkrassungs" - radical, often humorous reworkings of well-known songs. Heavy riffs collide with jazz improvisation, all held together by Zehrfeld's motto: "headbanging with brains".
