Redman (born Reginald Noble, April 17, 1970, Newark, New Jersey) is an American rapper, producer, and actor who broke onto the scene via EPMD before signing to Def Jam in the early 1990s. His debut Whut? Thee Album (1992) went gold and earned him The Source's Rap Artist of the Year for 1993, launching a run of solo classics including Dare Iz a Darkside and Muddy Waters. Alongside Method Man he recorded the landmark collaborative albums Blackout! (1999) and Blackout! 2 (2009), and the pair co-starred in the cult stoner comedy How High (2001).
