Steve Vai is an American guitarist, composer, and music producer, widely known for his technical virtuosity and expressive playing style. He gained recognition through his work with Frank Zappa and stints in Alcatrazz and Whitesnake before pursuing a solo career. His album Passion and Warfare (1990) is among his most celebrated works.
