Tanita Tikaram is a British folk-pop singer-songwriter, born in 1969 in Münster, Germany, and raised in England. Her 1988 debut album Ancient Heart - released when she was just 19 - sold around four million copies worldwide and topped charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with singles "Twist in My Sobriety" and "Good Tradition" becoming pan-European hits. She has released ten studio albums over four decades, and in October 2025 returned with LIAR (Love Isn't A Right), conceived as a direct sequel to Ancient Heart.
