The Cinematic Orchestra x New Fall 2026
The Cinematic Orchestra will perform their atmospheric electronic music at Schlager Cafe. A showcase of the ensemble's cinematic soundscapes and intricate arrangements.
The Cinematic Orchestra is a British nu-jazz and downtempo collective founded in London in 1999 by composer and multi-instrumentalist Jason Swinscoe, releasing on Ninja Tune and Domino. The group built its identity around live improvisation woven into electronic production - a sound that sits equally at home in a concert hall and a late-night club. Their 2007 album 'Ma Fleur' and its track 'To Build a Home' reached far beyond the jazz world, appearing in TV series such as 'Orange Is the New Black' and 'This Is Us'. After a twelve-year gap, the band returned with the critically acclaimed fifth album 'To Believe' (2019), which earned an 82/100 on Metacritic.
The Cinematic Orchestra are scheduled to perform at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg in August 2026, followed by dates in Istanbul, Düsseldorf, Vilnius and Sofia.
The band played Hala Stulecia in Wrocław, Poland on 23 August 2025, and also appeared at FestiValle in Agrigento, Italy.
Ninja Tune released a 20th Anniversary Edition of the album 'Every Day' (2002) in 2023.
'To Believe', the band's fifth studio album, was released on 15 March 2019 via Ninja Tune and Domino, earning an 82/100 on Metacritic.
The single 'To Believe' featuring Moses Sumney was released in 2016, previewing the eventual album of the same name that followed three years later.
