VULVODYNIA
Metal band VULVODYNIA performs at Schlachthof Wiesbaden in Wiesbaden.
Vulvodynia is a South African deathcore and slamming brutal death metal band formed in 2014 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal by vocalist Duncan Bentley and guitarist Luke Haarhoff. Signed to Unique Leader Records, they have released five studio albums and built a following well beyond Africa through relentless touring across Europe, North America and Australia. Their fifth album, Entabeni (2024), marks a new chapter after several vocalist changes.
Vulvodynia officially parted ways with vocalist Zion Bittenbender in March 2026 following sexual misconduct allegations, with guitarist Lwandile Prusent resuming vocal duties and the band announcing open auditions for a permanent replacement.
Bittenbender stepped down from the band's touring lineup in November 2025 to address sexual assault allegations that surfaced shortly after he was announced as the new frontman.
Vulvodynia joined All Shall Perish on the Europe Slamageddon Tour 2025, playing shows in Berlin, London, Glasgow, Milan, Vienna and other cities through November and December.
The band toured Europe in early 2025 alongside Cattle Decapitation, Shadow of Intent and Revocation.
Vulvodynia released their fifth studio album Entabeni on July 5, 2024 via Unique Leader Records, featuring guest appearances from vocalists of Signs Of The Swarm, Bodysnatcher and PeelingFlesh.
