Martin Tingvall Trio

For over two decades, the Tingvall Trio has been a reliable force in piano trio jazz - built on catchy melodies and driving rhythms. Their recordings have won the Jazz Award in Gold eight times, their latest album "Birds" topped the German Jazz Charts once again, and sold-out shows across Europe speak to the enduring appeal of these three Hamburg-by-choice musicians.

In preparation for their new record "Pax", the trio kicked off the year with a tour of more than 20 dates, heading straight afterwards into their favourite studio - ARTE SUONO, run by sound engineer Stefano Amerio in Italy. The result is an album that sounds almost as energetic and fragile as a live performance.

Never before has the trio been captured in the studio so directly - whether in tender ballads like "A Promise" or in full-throttle TT numbers like "Cruisin".
