True Crime in Pirna — Herderhalle Pirna, Pirna

Forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Lessig reconstructs real murder cases together with criminal judge Stefan Caspari and Michael Ulrich, head of crime scene investigation at the LKA. Three professionals get to the bottom of crimes, reconstruct the sequence of events, explore the psychology of perpetrators, and explain verdicts and sentencing.

On Saturday, 14 November, Pirna hosts an evening titled "Mördern auf der Spur" (On the Trail of Murderers). Forensic pathologist Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Lessig, criminal judge Stefan Caspari, and LKA crime scene investigation chief Michael Ulrich will all be on stage. The audience can watch live as the experts dissect spectacular murder cases - reconstructing events such as the Halle attack, probing the minds of the perpetrators, and explaining how courts arrive at their sentences.

Prof. Dr. Rüdiger Lessig is a specialist in forensic medicine and forensic odontology, and has been director of the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Halle for over ten years.

Criminal judge Stefan Caspari is a presiding judge at the regional court, ruling on cases involving murderers, rapists, and fraudsters. He offers insight into the sometimes complex process of reaching a verdict.

Michael Ulrich heads the crime scene unit of the State Criminal Investigation Office of Saxony-Anhalt. For over 30 years he has been responsible for evidence collection at serious crime scenes.

This promises to be an informative evening with sharp insights into gripping criminal cases.
