Claire Huangci, Piano Recital - 80th Säckinger Kammermusik-Abende 2026-27 — Kursaal Bad Säckingen, Bad Säckingen

Born in Rochester, New York, Claire Huangci began playing piano in early childhood and was invited to the White House at age nine. She has since received numerous international awards, including first prize at the 2018 Zürcher Concours Géza Anda, and has recorded over a dozen CDs. Open to an unusual repertoire, Claire Huangci captivates with breathtaking virtuosity, masterful interpretation, and technical brilliance. Her current programme features the exceptionally demanding four Ballades by Frédéric Chopin, rarely performed together, which frame works by Fanny Hensel and Florence Price, both strongly influenced by Chopin. The musical journey from Romanticism to modern American music culminates in Gershwin's jazzy "Rhapsody in Blue", the concert's highlight - also a reminder of the United States' 250th anniversary this year.
