A joyful and atmospheric Christmas journey from the Appalachians (A) to Sugarloaf (Z) with a stop at the Eiffel Tower

For singing and participating together, as well as for quiet listening
With musicians from the group L'ART DE PASSAGE and Therese Thomaschke (shadow theatre)

The musicians (the kings) take the stage in fairy-tale oriental costumes - in embroidered caps, decorated belts, wide trousers and shirts with standing collars. The narrator sits in black, barefoot at the edge of the stage in front of a large shadow theatre screen.

Gerhard Schöne and his musicians tell stories through children's Christmas songs from around the world - from the Appalachians, through the Eiffel Tower to Sugarloaf - about the great celebration of families worldwide. The atmosphere is lively and joyful, singing and participating together are explicitly welcome. The audience falls silent when the Christmas story unfolds as shadow theatre on a large screen.

Gerhard Schöne loves transformation. Yet he remains true to himself and his audience. His Christmas programme for families is on tour for the last time. It is surely among the most beautiful experiences available here for children and parents, as well as for clever aunts and cool cousins.
