Johnny and the Yooahoos - Bluegrass - Folk

Since 2018, Johnny & the Yooahoos have been shaking up the European bluegrass and folk scene. What started on small stages in southern Germany has taken the four musicians to international festivals in France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.

2025 brought their biggest milestone yet: as winners of the IBMA International Band Grant, the Yooahoos spent five weeks touring the USA - playing legendary venues including the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in New York.

Musically, the Yooahoos are all about pure acoustics: banjo, mandolin, guitar, double bass and three-part harmonies combine into a sound that bridges tradition and the contemporary. At times raw and high-energy, at others lyrical and atmospheric - but always genuine, warm and compelling.

Whether on festival stages, in clubs or outdoors, Johnny & the Yooahoos take their audience on a journey between nostalgic bluegrass and modern folk, driven by passion, joy and unmistakable charm.
