Spider Murphy Gang has been at home on the stages of the Republic since 1977 - and that's exactly where you see why this band possesses an unbroken cult status. When Günther Sigl, Barney Murphy and their bandmates kick in, every hall transforms into a Rock'n'Roll Club with driving guitars, a rolling boogie piano and a joy of playing that instantly catches on.

Starting from the Munich scene, the gang launched their triumphant march with songs like "Sommer in der Stadt", "Schickeria" and of course "Skandal im Sperrbezirk". Hits that have long since become collective rituals, sung by thousands of voices at every concert.

Despite gold and platinum records, sold-out halls and international success, the band has always remained what it was from the start: an honest live band that fascinates and always delivers a grandiose Rock'n'Roll Show. Whether unplugged or as a rehearsed rock band. Günther Sigl as frontman is as credible as ever and entertains with amusing anecdotes. Of course, the affectionate banter between the Spiders' old guard - Günther and Barney - is also legendary. The two of them deliver a verbal ping-pong on stage that guarantees not a dry eye in the house.

The Spiders now stand for five decades of straightforward Rock'n'Roll that takes no prisoners. Next year the band celebrates its 50th anniversary. On April 3rd, 2027, this will be celebrated in style at the Sparkassen Arena Landshut. No one here is thinking about quitting.
