Kamellen - An Event at the Magdeburg Literature Days
Kabarett „...nach Hengstmanns“, Magdeburg, Germany
30.8 €
Half a decade after his second volume "Autobiografische Fiktionen", Max Heckel presents texts from his current book "Kamellen" - as part of the Magdeburg Literature Days.
Storytelling, he says, is like music: all the chord progressions have been written, all the plots probably too. What matters is how you arrange the stories. Heckel has few illusions about himself: not a particularly good musician, not a good author - but he can speak into a microphone and carry himself with confidence.
Somewhere between content and form lies plenty of everyday life, things worth criticising and things worth marvelling at, seasoned with self-criticism and irony. The self-proclaimed sauerkraut poet accompanies it all with songs. Not a must. But a nice option.
