Fu Manchu is an American stoner rock band from Orange County, California, active since 1985 - first as hardcore punk outfit Virulence, then under their current name from 1990 onward. Fronted by founding guitarist Scott Hill, the band helped define the stoner rock genre alongside Kyuss and Sleep, and has kept a stable lineup since 2001. Their 2024 double album 'The Return of Tomorrow' marks over three decades of fuzz-heavy, California-sun-soaked rock.
Fu Manchu released 'The Return of Tomorrow' on June 14, 2024 via their own At the Dojo Records - their first double album in over 30 years of recording.
The band performed at major European festivals including Graspop Metal Meeting, Copenhell and Hellfest in support of the new album.
Kerrang! praised 'The Return of Tomorrow', calling Fu Manchu 'still kings of the stoner age' six years after their previous studio record.
Fu Manchu is currently touring across 7 countries with 9 upcoming concerts, including dates in Phoenix and Râșnov.
The band played Barcelona and Madrid in March 2026, continuing their extended touring cycle behind 'The Return of Tomorrow'.
