About

Marillion are a British progressive rock band formed in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire in 1979, widely regarded as the most commercially successful act to emerge from the 1980s neo-prog revival. Their 1985 concept album Misplaced Childhood reached No. 1 in the UK, and the band went on to sell over 15 million albums worldwide across 20 studio records. They are also recognised as pioneers of fan-funded music, having crowdfunded a US tour as early as 1997 - years before the term existed. Now fronted by Steve Hogarth, who replaced original singer Fish in 1989, the band continues to record and tour actively.
