Sven Väth is a German DJ and producer born in Frankfurt in 1964, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of techno and house music. Active behind the decks since 1982, he co-founded the Eye Q and Harthouse labels in the early 1990s before launching the Cocoon brand - first as a club night, then as a Frankfurt venue (2004-2012), and as a record label that continues to shape underground electronic music today. His marathon sets, spanning trance, minimal techno and deep house, have made him a fixture at Amnesia Ibiza for over two decades.
