The Datsuns are a hard rock band from Cambridge, New Zealand, formed in the mid-1990s under the name Trinket before renaming in 1998. Their self-titled 2002 debut hit #1 in New Zealand and the top 20 in the UK, earning them NME's 'Best Live Band' award and slots alongside Metallica, the White Stripes and Ozzy Osbourne. Over seven albums - the second produced by Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones - they have kept a raw, high-voltage garage-rock sound largely unchanged. An eighth album is expected in 2026.
